The Legend of Old Cuban Samurai deals with the struggles of uncompromising change.  Mateo, a Cuban guajiro (farmer), experiences other worldly dreams of a past life as a samurai and of the after life.  Something lingers in his soul as if something has been left unfinished.  Eto, a Japanese bomber pilot decides to defect during the bombing run of Pearl Harbor to have revenge on another soldier for the death of his only son.  But Eto also leads a double life that he keeps in the shadows.  Ricky and Yasmin try to fulfill the wish of a dying family friend by going to Cuba to return a coffee maker urn to a man that shouldn’t be alive.
